My Notebook suddenly powers down! If you use a notebook and it suddenly powers down. Check you are not blocking the cooling vent usually on the bottom or side of the machine. You may consider purchasing a notebook cooling tray. My on/off switch is not working! From time to time we get comments from our customers that the on/off switch is not working on the PC and the only way that they can turn it off if it crashes is to pull the plug. On most new machines, the off button needs to be pressed for about 5 seconds before the PC turns off. This is a 'safety' measure to prevent accidentally shutting off the PC, and/or to prevent inquisitive children switching off your PC while you are in the middle of something important. Page: [1] | |
